Does anybody know if Kincaid lake has ice on it or is it frozen?
Im not very far from Kincaid Lake but I dont hear much about it. Is it worth checking out for bas or anything else? Thanks
My ex neighbor has a college degree in fish he knows fish in and out, he is with the epa also, I took him down there last year and he thinks the Kentucky state record will come from this lake. There are a lot of bass in this lake but it is stressed. I have many of trips to Kincaid without nothing to show for it. Lots of weeds and shallows, all the fish I have caught there have been in the shallows. The lake is fed by a creek that you can take your boat up the creek pretty far.
Where Kincaid creek flows into the Licking is full of smallies, all below that series of riffles there as well.
I go to kincaid early spring and fall. Many days I walk away with not much to show.
I forgot to mention yes there is still ice on it I would say, every thing in campbell county is froze over Jolly the stein park, all ponds and lakes that I see up there. I talked to my father last night he lives in perry park and he said the ice on the lakes there are still froze over, sauger fishing at meldahl has been tough this year also, that is another option to winter fishing.
