    Re: Changing crankbaits

use a polymer knot it is a quick and good knot to use. there must be a reason why you dont see pros use clips, what it is i dont know. but for me i have more proublems with clipping and unclipping then i do just retying.

    Re: Changing crankbaits

For monofilament all you need is a nailclipper on a retractable lanyard, polamar knot, spit, and teeth or clipper to cut tag end shorter. In 15 seconds or less you're done. You just want to have somewhere to drop the bait you removed and at end of day restore them into your box(es). a clip is handy, but taking the time to retie a knot is much better than avoiding the knot (its the weakest link). Plus you should be checking line knicks and retying often with a crankbait if its digging bottom anyway.
