The pits normally have very little if not zero timber so all you have to work with is ledges and weeds. There is normally a lot of weeds and or lilly pads which is what you should work. Depending on which one you are in there may not even be any ledges possibly straight down. Jigging the weeds, and weedles baits pulling through the pads usually produces fish. Orange or pink flukes seem to work well in these conditions.
Fish will suspend in the weeds and underneath the pads, top waters work across the pads as long as there is some cloud cover. You need heavy line to pull them out of the weeds becuase there will be a lot of them they grow really thick.
