Water is NEVER too cold for the fly. As long as the bobber does not go bouncing across the top of the ice then the fly will work. Deep leader, slow presentation, fish dope the jig to minimize the action and off you go. Fish steeper parts of the lake with leader as long as you can cast.

Re: How About the FnF on Lake Cumberland

Well, our report isn't very good. We left out of Pumpkin and thought the water was too stained there so we headed to a few spots on Greasy. We graphed bait all over, but the water wasn't much clearer. We headed out to try a few new spots on the main lake and the water was pretty stained there too. Headed in after a long day with basically no pull-downs that we were sure of.

Wind was howling quite a bit all day. We used leaders between 9 and 12 feet and threw both duck feather and craft hair.

We tried creeks, cuts, points, cliff wall, main lake, etc.

When we got back to Pumpkin, the water looked like it had cleared up.

Pretty much thee same report as know1. Put in at Beaver fished points out of Beaver into the main lake. Went down to State Stat Park still no pull downs. Decided to go to the dam and try it. Fish all over the graph but no pull downs. Water really rough on the main lake between 76 falls and Beaver. Man my back is sure feelng it today... Motor out of water more than it was in. Caught one smallie on a silver buddy as mt buddy went to get the truck at the ramp. Only fish if the day.
