I HIGHLY disagree. A well armed rebel group that can easily blend in with the civilian population and is fighting on land they are familiar with has proven to be very effective against larger and more advanced militaries through out history.

Besides, no matter how bad it got I dont see the US Navy shelling Miami, the Airforce carpet bombing Chicago, or a Nuke being dropped on Dallas. That would only help the rebel cause.

Combat would be man on man. You also have to think about the people that run critical infrastructure in this country and how they could be involved with the rebellion. Internal sabotage would be easy and prevailant.

So, no, the 2nd Amendment hasnt lost its bite. But I do wish we still lived in a time when we could order a full auto Thompson from the Sears catalogue and have it shipped to our door.

A lot of what you're saying is predicated on not "seeing" the US Navy shelling Miami, etc. In other words, if the government does decide to do those things, a rag-tag group with small arms has no chance.

True but, if it comes to that, I wouldnt want to be on either side.

But, you are ignoring the fact that internal sabatoge would be HUGE in a domestic rebellion.

I dont think anything like this will come close to happening in my life time but we need to protect the laws so cleverly put in place by our founding fathers for a time when a select group of individuals will need to break free from the heard of sheeple and protect this Country, the Constitution, and freedom from anyone that seaks to destroy it!
