    Your Personal Best Bass?

Hey guys I know this has been talked about on this board before but I think its interesting to see what everyones personal best bass are and what they have been caught on. My biggest largemouth to date is 7.5 lbs caught on a chartreuse spinnerbait in early fall. My biggest smallmouth is only 4 lbs 10 oz caught on a super spook jr last summer. Thats a minnow compared to some the smallmouth you guys have caught Im sure. Heading to Lake Erie in late June hoping to get at least a 5+ pounder. Looking forward to hearing your guys responses.

Wish I could say I've caught bigger but my biggest was just a little over 5lbs. White spinnerbait in stained water in the spring, two feet from the bank.

8 pounds 3 ounces at at Barren while the water was up after the 1997 flood. It hit a spinnerbait in a foot of water. Came off a flooded willow tree that normally is high and dry.

I got one about 7.5, caught on a CR lizard in spring.

the best part of the story, never got the hook in her. She just held on, and I kept pressure on her, and we were able to get her by the bottom lip, then the hook just came out of her mouth when it opened.

Talk about one meant to be caught!!! LOL... really enjoyed releasing her too.

Oh, caught her on KY Lake.

Mine was a 8.5lb largemouth on a private 25 acre watershed lake, down around rough river, hit a white spinnerbait in early spring around the drain pipe. I know this is kind of cheating since it was private and nobody else fished in it, but man was it fun, she was full of eggs, and beautiful, didnt have a camera, so I measure her, weighed her, and threw her back. Got a fiberglass replica mad at Mike's taxidermist, and it looks great. Really glad I didnt kill her, cause I know she is still there making more big babies.

My best largemouth was a 6 lb 2 oz largemouth at Laurel Lake (believe it or not!) Caught among standing timber on a Sammy in early Spring. It was the last fish caught during the best trip my partner and I have ever had at Laurel. We fished from about 4:30 until dark and had 5 keeper smallmouth (a couple went 4lbs +), 4 nice walleye, and the big largemouth. All the other fish were caught on 3-blade spinnerbaits. Don't know if we'll ever do that good at Laurel again!
Best smallmouth was 5.5 lbs at Cumberland on the Sweet Beaver.

11.2 LM at Lake El Salto Mexico on a 3/4 oz Rat L Trap. Also caught a 10.2 and two 9's at El Salto... OK, some say that's cheatin'. My personal best this side of the border is an 8 pounder from a semi private lake. Caught on a 4" bluegill colored tube.
