Thanks a lot guys, I really appreciate the info. I am thinking about trying it on wed. or Thur. evening. If anyone goes let us know how you did.

The method I hear so much about in the Spring is fishing topwater at night. A Rico seems to be the bait of choice. I tried it 2 or 3 times last year and finally caught one walleye the last time I tried it. Spinnerbait is also a great lure in Spring (April, May).

What about it guys anyone been?? I am probably going to go next week, should I go during the day and troll or use live bait. I am wondering what type of bait to use, when and where. I have never caught a Walleye in all my fishing but would love to get into some on Laruel. I only live about 15min from flattwoods and about 5min from 312 where would you put in at???

We're hoping the "warmup" will happen and we can go tomorrow IF the wife gets over her severe cold by then (bad way to spend one's 27th wedding anniversary with such a terrible cold)

I'd guess 312 would be "the place" to put in for "numbers of 'eyes " this time of year....??

I'd imagine that right now you'd get more males ??

Well, did you get to go and if so, any results to report?

We "may" get to sneak off for a bit tomorrow, going to be a very nice day on Laurel either way but some nice fat 'eyes would make it even better!

Not had a chance the water is really muddy from the city dam almost to flatwoods. Hopefully it will clear up soon. I have never seen it so bad with all the junk and mud. May have to wait until the topwater bite turns on. Did you get a chace to go?

Yes we (wife and I) got to go for a few hours this afternoon and yes the water is stained to muddy, caught some bass one nice fat "football" largemouth, just 1/2" short of being a "keeper" , she'll be legal for a tourney in a few weeks and a few trout (which works out great as the wife loves those trout)

The bigger bass came on a bottom bouncer/minnow in about 25 ft of water!!

We're planning to take the youngest son this weekend and give it a "better/longer" try then, as our time was very limited today .
