Water was off colored. Not muddy, but not as clear. Temps 40 to 43.
Wind was tough to deal with.
Used the GPS to find steep drops out of the wind. Steep banks not hard to find, out of the wind a different story.

Caught 18 1/2" SmallJaw on a shakeyhead in 35' water. My son caught
12 1/2" KY in 25' water on a Jig.

Using deptfinder and the water column from the bank to 30' was blank, as soon as I got beyond the 30' range it seemed to light up. I'm not real good
reading what is what. When I started seeing what I thought was bait fish or
some type of structure @ 32 to 36 feet I started casting parallel to the bank.
Felt like I was dragging across a stump felt a bit of a bump set the hook and fish on. Tried that for the remainder of the day with no luck on the smallies.

Temporary relief from the fever.

My first trip to Laurel. I'll be back. Night bite should be great.
