You fogot to mention the part where I take her to Wisdom and say I caught her in reciprocating water as to get both TN and KY records to boot. Even though I fish in TN waters 99% of the time, no way a KY boy can have the TN record but not the KY record as well.

No way. It would have been on the news or something. Everybody I've talked to has no clue. I do see the next record coming from Cumberland or THE ONE, THE ONLY Dale Hollow.

The next WORLD record will come from Pardee in California.

While I LOVE Dale, KY and Cumberland, Pardee gave up 5 smallies over 9lbs last year, and 15 or so over 8..........SO, if those fish are going back into the lake, and NOT home, it is only a couple years before the WORLD record is broken.

Now, boys and GIRLS, I really don't like it, but that's the facts.

On another note, there is some issue as to if these fish are purebred smallies, or some evil cross between smallies and spots.......More to come.

    Geo

If someone researches, the endorsement issues. Ill gladly print an save, make sure you do the boat company' s & motor, I think Triton may be the better option to catch it out of, keep in mind the more exspensive product you can convince them that was involved the better school your children can attend...... Dont forget the tow vehicle, all these are big issue's.........line lure rod etc, wont hold a candle to them,

keep in mind your life time supply of jigs isnt quite what we are looking for here, it will all add up, if you have been convicted of any felonies, & have a best friend u can trust now may be the time to call him, or a wife thats always an option.

any input may help one of us in 09

My buddy Cliff and I was at the Holler in Feb of 2008 for my first trip down that FNF season due to all of my surgeries. We fished the first day and had a pretty good day, I did have a 4-7 within the first couple of cast of the morning to start the day off. We were staying at the Riverfront Motel in Burkesville and had just plugged up my buddy's Triton, had the cover on her and all ready to settle in for the night. There was another boat behind us and that fella was walking to his room which happened to be right next door to ours. He asked us how we did and we told him and he said he had not caught any at all and as a matter of fact had not done much good in the couple of years he had been fishing the fly. He asked us to come into his room and look at his setup and see if anything was wrong. We went in and the first thing we saw was he was using the Crystal Fireline for both his main line and his leader. I told him his problem, he said he did not have any mono or flouro in his boat. I knew I had plenty of 6lb flouro in Cliff's boat and knew I could get to it without taking off the cover. We talked a bit and he asked us where we were from and we told him and he said "Is one of you, Elnutsmalljaws" and I told him that was me so he goes over to his suitcase and pulls out copies and copies of my post about FNF fishing at Dale. Shocked the living daylights out of me and we went out to the boat and I gave him a half spool of 6lb XPS flourocarbon for his leader to use the next day. He offered up money to which I would not take it and off to our rooms we went. We walked in and my buddy, Cliff aka chunknwind aka netboy, closes the door and says "I did not know I was fishing with a LEGEND". True story, he does not post here a lot but his logon is Ohiorick or something with Ohio in it. He is from Columbus. The next night we saw him and he had caught around 4, maybe more, with a couple over 4 pounds each. The leader was his only problem. Have not seen or talked to him since but he did post a thank you on this site when he got back. Nice fella for he convinced Cliff that he is fishign with a LEGEND, at least a LEGEND in my OWN MIND.

This thread continues to set the hook on me. I keep checking this thread out in hopes that it really isn't a hoax, and that maybe if it's not a new world record Smalmouth out of Coumberland that it might at least be darned close.
