How long you going to keep drinkin that cool aid before you realize the wolf in the sheeps clothing as our President.....

The way I see it, he hasn't done anything that I disapprove of yet. The fact that he is making efforts for positive improvement is more than I am used to for our president. I will support him as long as he keeps things going in the right direction - or at least tempting to steer us there. Which, I can honestly say I did the same for Bush - how many of you can say the same for Obama (very few on here). It took me at least 3 years before I started laughing every time I saw Bush on tv, and a few more before I became sick to my stomache.

Bush buried his head in the sand in terms of the economic situation which only caused the problem to snow ball. The problem is much deeper than the past two years. Bush'and his admin's lack of action to address the economic situation was one of his greatest failures. Even though some of these problems go farther back than his administration, Obama, in a sense, is making up for the last eight years in terms of lack of efforts.

Chub - I only meant by my comments that it is much more than the black community praising Obama and his attempts to better our country. When I read your message, it seemed to me that you thought only the black community was supportive of him.

He is still saying the gubment is the way....it's not! In my heart of hearts I don't see how that can be. That's what got us here in the first place for crying out LOUD!! When does this sink into anyone's head? These guys are the problem! He said (8) years of Bush was the problem? I don't remember (8) years of problems. Anyone else remember (8) years? I do remember the Libs running this country into the ground with Fannie and Freddie am I right? Yes we have had close to (2) years of problems but that's also when the Libs started having their way. Any connection there.

I think a large part of our problem is allowing certain financial companies within the private sector become too powerful. Maybe the government should have intervened earlier.

Chris DODD, and Barney FRANK would not allow them to regulate fannie and freddie.

Again......you REALLY need to checkout some of the legitimate information out there with regards to the regulations put forth by republicans in 2003, 2005, 2006, and 2007 that were VOTED DOWN BY THE DEMS.......

You my friend continue to discuss what is wrong, but you're not informed about the FACTS.

AND the very fact that the HEAD honcho for Freddie is now Obama's chief economic advisor should tell you something............Talk about someone with their head in the sand.

I know there are whites who support Obama...but I sure as heck don't over hear them talking out loud in restaurants about it...almost shouting it out, laughing, cutting up, high fives, Obama this, Obama that...some of these folks think he's better than the second coming of the lord, or so it seems to me anyway.

Col, who's gonna pay for all this when the bill comes due for 900 billion dollars? My grandchildren? You can't just print money and throw it out into the public, or should I say to the same companies who have us in this mess now? They were not practical in their lending practices and caused the mortgage meltdown, now we give them more money? Ever here of inflation? With that kind of influx of cash into the economy with no accountability, money wasted on PORK and double digit inflation is sure to follow close behind.

The Government just keeps creating social programs that reward people for not wanting to succeed in life. Did you know Welfare and food stamps were originaly created for coal miners who were laid off in the winter months? They used to have to pay it back when they went back to work. What a concept huh? Earn your way through life, who would have ever thunk such a thing? Now the welfare/food stamp program has become a two headed monster that needs fed with no chance of cutting off it's head. That's fair to me as a business owner to pay more taxes for people who find it more profitable to not work?

I came from one of the poorest neighborhoods in Indy and two parents who were so poor they couldn't rub two nichols together, yet they never asked the Goverment for one dime. They made me go to school and taught me work ethics some couldn't even imagine. They broke the cycle with me, they taught me that anything worth having takes dedication and hard work, not the Goverment handing me everyone else's hard earned tax dollars.

If you think life is to hard and you just want a hand out from our Goverment, you deserve to starve. If you want nice things and expendable income, get off the couch and go to work. You get out of this life what you put in it, if you put no effort forth, you deserve no rewards for it. I guess by most of your responces your a staunch Democrat. I also assume after you read mine you will assume I am a Republican. Well, you would be wrong on the second. I am just an American who exercises my right to vote, not left or right, but who will benefit me and my ideas of what my Goverment should and shouldn't do.

If you think that bill is not loaded with pork and will create more companies that will become dependant on tax payer subsidy, you truly are blind to facts. With Obamas plan of just throwing good money after bad you will have to trade recession with depression!!!

Why not just go all out and get a Bush shirt, hat, pin......... at least he kinda/sorta won a election.

I am willing to give him his chance but the town hall meeting just yeilded generic politician answers. He said there was no pork in the legislation and there obviously is. Especially the 50 billion that was slipped in to start a national health program. I sure don't want the feds to be in charge of my health care, not after I've seen how they screwed everyting else up. He's my president and we'll just have to see how he does.

Just saw Chuck Shumer (D-NY) get on his podium and say that americans don't care about a little pork in this new Bill. This is crazy! These guys are worthless!!
