Well you might want to stock more Lucky Craft. I bought several on my list, but you didn't have any LVR-D7's in clear water colors and there were no LVR-D10 or D15 at all, and no BDS 2 or 3 that I was looking for. I am going to Texas March 6th and needed some of the bigger baits... Oh well.
I did like the Live Target selection and bought a few of those. They might not catch fish but they caught me.
I really liked the speakers and might actually try the float-n-fly again. I tried it once on a clear strip pit and caught one on the first cast, then never caught another one. The speaker used a regular bobber and I used a slip bobber and he said you would have the same problem I was having, getting the 1/16oz jig to drop down to depth.
Bill McDonald was a very good speaker on the types of fishing that I do, I didn't know who he was all day until he spoke and then I didn't have time to ask him a few questions.
Learned a lot from him anyway, just in the confidence I got from his stressing fish the way you want to fish. I get caught up in tournaments trying to finesse fish sometimes thinking I need to be doing that and don't end up doing well anyway. I am a power angler and I need to keep it that way in a tournament and just keep attacking. He stressed doing that. Sounds like Bill isn't just a great angler, but a great man. Need more guys like that in pro angling that are willing to be real.
Anyway as soon as the ice is off, I can start trying that floatnfly again. Not in east Texas though, I am going after those bass with all the finesse of a Cat D-7 Dozer.
Treetops filled with broken off lures from a last chance power fishin drive,
