The ozone hole was a FAKE........again, it is all about money, and I CAN GUARANTEE you THAT.

My father in law is a HUGE distributor of heating and air equipment in Indianapolis.......one of the LARGEST in the midwest.

THE changeover from R-12 to R-34 and the newer stuff create a HUGE market for an industry that NEEDED a boost.....The changeover over the 15 years it took generated about 1 TRILLION dollars in revenue.

Nice ARTIFICAL boost if you ask me.

Now if you REALLY want to fix our economy...........Declare WAR on IRAN.

The revenues generated during war years are ALWAYS better than off war years. I'm not saying the war on TERRORISM is a farce......FAR FROM IT, but the jobs that would be created by a new WAR would be significant. I'm only HALF kidding here...........but I know when we were actively bombing IRAQ and Afghanistan, my stock in Lockheed went THROUGH the ROOF.

Jan 2000 Lockheed was at 40 bucks...........Today, it is at 80......Peak WAR, meaning 2008, it was at 100........

Well back to why I actually posted this thread. We just had the main line pass us and it was quite intense. Rainfall was so heavy we couldn't see across the street and lasted about 4 min's at that intensity. Winds probably in excess of 50 miles per hour at least. I'm at work and we did not loose power, yet, lol. Home I have no idea about yet but that was a real storm for sure, I'm glad it was a quick hitter.

I've never thought of that, but it makes sense. I think we all went into the wrong profession - who else but a weather man can make close to six figures to be wrong half of the time. That is the perfect job for me, I am wrong at least that much, or at least most of you and especially my wife seem to think so!!LOL!!!

However, it is pretty windy here. A few poles have snapped, and we were without power for the last third of the day at the high school here in town. We still have quite a few damaged trees and power poles that this wind is trying to do a number on - hopefully it won't do much else.

Tyme I didn't get real excited but unless you live underground brother, that was more than a little wind, lol. Prospect confirmed gusts to 78 miles an hour. Carroll county recorded gusts at 81 miles an hour. Most of the surrounding areas recorded gusts upward to 70 miles an hour. We have got spots around the county here that look like Ike all over again. When I came into work today I had to get my maintenance crew to begin fixing things. It blew a 16 by 20 overhead door completely out of it's track by bending all the rollers and blew it 30 feet from it's original spot. This door is heavy to not a little flimsy thing by any stretch. Also Shingles scattered all over this 6 acre lot.

A little wind, ha ha, alright Tyme I hear ya, lol.

The fact that the world adds about 2000 people a day minumum, and has been for the past 25 years has absolutely no impact on anything.

Bug, my dog example was on the small scale. Imagine doing that for oh say 50,000 generations. I can assure you that the end product will not be a "dog" as we know it today.

I am not understanding your mockingbird story. So if an African Grey Parrot is raised in a house hold and can speak 300 words but its offspring are released back into the wild and doesnt speak one word that disproves evolution? Mocking birds simply hear and mimick sounds. No quails to mimmick = no quail songs to sing!

I am a Christian too, I believe in the Bible. But I also know that it is IMPOSSIBLE for stories that were not written down for generations and generations and translated from language to langueage to be 100% factual and therfore can not be taken word for word. I do believe that the MESSAGES in the Bible however remain unchanged and are just as meaningful and important today as they were before Jesus walked the Earth.
