I can't see Pitino allowing a beating like that ND must have had their best game tonight.

    Re: D ville

Nd played U of L tough at Freedom Hall and had to go into OT before U of L won.....ND never even scored in the OT of that game if my memory is right.... So I guess ND had a bone to pick with U of L..... I heard on the news this morning that it was Pitino's worst loss ever in his career as a College Coach....

I do feel sorry for the Ville's player's when they get in practice today or tomorrow....Can you say RUN, Run, Run......

It was his worst loss as a Cardinal coach. And that loss was as much his fault as it was the non prepared players. I called this one yesterday and said ND by 12, but I never expected them to get thrashed. Notre Dame's season was on the line last night and Louisville knew it and wasn't close to being ready. Why hasn't Pitino developed more players on this team?

Reginald Delk was a starter on Miss State for two years. Tranfers here to ride the bench and never play until the game is either over or it's a blow out, why?
Kyle Kurich very talented and bright freshman, never plays, why?
George Goode and Jared Swoshshire's were positive contributers earlier in the year now never play because if they do anything wrong Pitino jerks them faster than a duck on a june bug. Even though he will keep Earl Clark, (Mr. NBA) on the floor when he can't throw it in the Atlantic ocean, Why?
Why does he play Terrance Williams for 30 to 40 minutes when he can't even dribble or pass never the less shoot? If his thumb is hurting that dang bad sit his ass on the bench and let it heal, Why?
Why every year that Rick Pitino has been here has he constantly recruited ATHLETES?
Here's a news flash, if you can run faster than a whitetail deer and can jump over parked cars in the Freedom Hall parking lot but you can't shoot and put the ball through that orange cylinder guess what, you **** and shouldn't play, you have to actually score points in this game to beat opp's and win games.

Alright since I think I'm so smart what would I do?
    1. Bench all 5 starters for at least the next three games and start 5 new ones including Pitino's pet Williams so he can heal his witty boo boo.
    2. Tell Earl Clark to transfer or go to where ever he thinks he should go but get the hell away from me. Maybe join his bum buddy Derrick Character where ever he is.
    3. Get myself or my assistants on the road and look for some hard nose scrappers, (Read between the lines) shooters, that actually know how to put the ball through the basket.
    4. Tell every player on the team if they can't hit at least 65% or higher from the free throw stripe they cannot play AT ALL!
    5. And last but certainly not least is tell every player on the team if they didn't bring 110% on every practice and every game they would sit the bench by me and pay for it in practice.

I'm done with this rant and I'm sorry but this game pissed me off, heads would roll if I had any say. Louisville is in trouble right now, they have completely lost their swagger, UCONN destroyed Louisville's confidence and exposed how mentally weak these players really are, it's sad.

    Mark,
What is sad is that you are describing most teams anymore. These kids get told how great they are and a little setback messes up their (NBA) minds. I love the game but the mentality of these kids have changed so much. I think they feel it's just a stopping point (for the ones that have a chance) until their eligible to go Pro. That has almost ruined College Ball. The Coaches are working harder than ever to keep new talent since most leave so quickly.

Oh so true Mr. Don. I am a Cards fan through and through and always have been. With that being said though I have to make a confession. One of my favorite college teams ever was Pitino's Unforgetable's at UK. A bunch of misfit whiteboy's that nobody wanted and was told they couldn't jump, was to slow and had no real talent. The only thing THEY that said this forgot was the ticker inside them rascal's chest's and the desire. That's what I love to see, Passion and desire. You can't coach heart, it just can't be done, you either have it or you don't. Your point was dead on Don, dead on.

Does anybody else enjoy Coach Knight and Digger just talking x's and o's the whole game? They barely gave Brent Musburger enough air to call the plays. I like Brent as well though and felt guilty for wanting to hear more of the other two. It's like free lessons on the fundamentals of basketball.

Brent is alright and I actually think Bobby does a nice job of calling the game when they are actually talking about the game.

Digger Phelps is an absolute tool, can't stand the arrogant SOB and have never like him. His stupid absoltely GAY markers that match his tie make me almost have a bowell movement. Also three people is too many to call a game. Digger stinks!

My wife loves the highlighter gimmick - I think it's cheesy but in an over the top way. Just like when Raftery does his "Sean Mcdonough and Jay Bilas, _____ opens up 'manaman'". I always give a silent chuckle but at the same time I always cheer against Syracuse to get the tip so they can open up zone. Digger makes a good sidekick for coach Knight - he can talk to Knight in ways that others can't because they're pals. Makes Knight seem less uptight. But yeah 3 in the booth is a crowd sometimes. Phelps as an analyst - I can take him or leave him.

Best for the Cards to just move on from this loss. Wrong place, wrong time and unprepared - it happens. Just ask Duke about Clemson..........
