Shame to hear them go.Was a nice place
They created thier own misery..let them drown in it....
I know nobody can say for sure but does anyone have any experience in going to something like this? Thinking of taking off work Wed and going up there but don't want to if most will be sold at near retail anyways. Looking at the fishing baits and general tackle stuff, don't need anything for the boat except maybe a keel guard. Just wondering if it is worth it or not. If I do go, I will post and see if anyone wants to take along.

i would think it would be like an auction and they are going to sell the items for as much as they can get out of it but it will be less than retail... i think for what they did wrong no one should show up so they have to eat the rest of it too... i dont get worked up easy but whenever you lie cheat or steal and thats what they did i have no respect for ya and think u reap what u sow....
Guys-
before they closed down, they had the tackle on sale at 40 or 50% off for quite some time. On my last visit, I could not find anything in tackle of interest to me but I have more stuff then I can use anyway. Mostly cranks and plastics remaining but many of the best colors were gone. I would not drive from lex to Florence for what was on the shelf last time I was in the store.
I know a number of things when bad at the end in this situation but I really liked the florence store. They did nice things for fishermen and kids that I have never seen another store do. It was fun going to the spring event they put on every year and had killer deals.
I'd pretty much given up on basspro shops up in forrest fair Ohio and liked plapps better. Now I'm ordering virtually everything from Cabelas or Tacklewarehouse.com.
given the economy I think there will be some bargins to be had. Ther will certainly be dealers there. So this is a chance to truely get it at dealer cost.
i agree i was up there before they closed the doors and there was'nt much to choose from. i'm sure everything left has been picked through pretty good. While they were open they did have great deals on tackle once a year. I got a c4 4600 brand new for 50 dollars. they also had a deal where you buy a gallon size zip lock bag for twenty five dollars. you can keep whatever you can fit in it. You'd be surprised how much you can fit in one. Well worth it.Guys-
