So you're suggesting a civil war in KY?

No, what I am suggesting is that if x amount of dollars are generated on the alcohol tax, then only the counties were those tax dollars were generated get to see a return on that tax.

As an example, the county I live in is wet. When I go to by a 12 pack of my favorite beer, it cost me roughly $8. Tax on that would be 48 cents. That would be 48 cents that would not be allowed to go to a dry county to be spent on raods, infrastructure or any other county projects. It would have to go to a county that allows alcohol sales.

I read a good point on another forum, I believe you know which one, about non-coal producing counties sharing the benefits and severence taxes of counties that produce.. Oh, and being a "teacher" and all, I have to let you know that you spelled roads wrong, but thanks for playing..

Are you a stalker or something? I post on insidetheville.com as well, in case you want to follow me. Although I doubt you will last long here.

Non-coal producing counties have no choice. There is no coal there. Not quite the same as refusing to sell a product that is readily available.

Insidetheville sounds familiar.. Didn't you post a link to that forum once to back up a claim about Louisville being a top ten college basketball program of all time? Don't worry, I won't be here long.. This may even be the last time I post.. Anyway, does non-coal producing counties have a choice in sharing the benefits? Would they elect not to? I'll leave you alone now, I just wanted to help with your spelling..

Nope, but I posted links to CBS and Sports Illustrated, but those were not credible enough to a basketball guru like yourself.

Comparing coal to alcohol is apples to oranges. Coal only exist in certain areas, alcohol can be sold in any county that so chooses. Completely different scenario.
