As for the alcohol and tobacco tax. Every time I bought alcohol, if the sign in the window said 8.99 for a half case of beer the thats what I paid for it 8.99. Not a penny more. But if I buy a half case of pepsi and it says its 4.99 then they always tack on 6 percent sales tax on to the 4.99 making it 5 something total. I'm not sure if the alcohol is pre taxed or what. I'm sure its taxed some how. some one enlighten me on this.

It is pretaxed at a rate of 60% of cost, that tax is passed on to the consumer. You are already paying one of the highest tax rates in the country and now you will also be paying the 6 % sales tax along with it. So if the sign says 8.99 your total will be 9.52.
