    Re: Cumberland?

with the way things have been lately and the forecast for next week, i would say fishing will be very slow. unfort the lake is very stained right now and fishing has been very slow. generally this is a great time for FNF but i do not find it too effective in limited visibility. striper fishing has also been slow and crappie fishing pretty well went out when lake got so stained. forecast is for cold days and nights over the next 10 days with intermixed precipitation. sorry to say but looks like it might be tough. any ideas as to what you were targeting? hoping to head out again on tues and will report then.

sorry but that is not an area i fish much (been in there one time!). last week of march should be better as noted above. stripers should be active in the creek on bucktails and my favorites - long billed jerkbaits and fluke type lures. walleye should be hitting walley divers and flukes then also.

Thanks! Due to hit lake on 3/28 for four days...... Either way, 4 days fishing beats just about anything!

If your in search for bass species you'd probably be better suited to go to Ky lake or head south to Alabama ,Florida,Georgia, ect. Barren is a good lake though............................
