Another great place to see them is on the Indiana side of the Ohio River, along the stretch from the PSI plant, south for 2 to 3 miles. Always see them in that area as I pass thru.
Coolest bird thing I ever saw was last year at Cumberland, half way to the dam from Jamestown. A redtailed hawk was flying low and slow with a fish clinched in its talons. A Bald Eagle was circling high above the area, looked down, tucked its wings to dive mode, hit the hawk in the back with one claw, and reached around and took thefish with the other claw. It then reved up and started to climb fast with a really stunned yet aggrivated hawk dead on its tail in hot pursuit mode. They flew down the lake's shore line and disappeared over the trees.
