States Suspending Income Tax Refunds

Yes they want you to pay OUR taxes on time, but they do not have to give refunds? And Ky could be next, I hope they can make payroll, as I will be in a world of hurt,. Also here is an interesting tidbit, due to the ice storm people lost food, so the state has been giving out replacement food benifits for food lost that was purchesed with food benifits, the ice storm happened at the end of the month when all their benifits were used up and most of the food was also, some do store food, but some are asking for the entire months benifits to be replaced, and we have to do it no questions asked, these people are acting like starved dog's, wanting more and the thing is that they received Feb benifits early to off set the losses. I cannot understand why we have to replace all benifts for jan, knowing that most food was ate. This is how our Government works. NO common sense, no logic, no nothing, just let the taxpayers pay for it all. I wish I could get my food replaced that I lost, all my deer meat ruined, but I work for a living so to bad for me. I saw earlier that revelotion was mentioned, it might be closer than we think. Greed has ruined this great country, not only the rich buut also the ones getting these extra food stamps, they are just being greedy. Nuf said. Just blowing off steam, I had over 200 replacements and counting. Several million wasted,

Got my refund direct deposited a few days ago, late last week to be exact...sadly enough it's already spoken for but at least I got it.

FYI - Man I'm just not sure about how bad things really are...everytime I go anywhere in the evenings or on the weekends it seems to me like all the restaurants are crowded, etc....heck, even this past weekend the wife and I went to Best Buy and I could have sworn it was almost as busy as Christmas time in there...I was thinking people had recieved their tax checks and were out spending them or they heard Nobama was going to turn the stimulus bill into law and they thought everything was now going to be alright.

Not wanting to steal this thread, but my thoughts on this stimulus package is that it "might" eventually fix things for awhile, for the short term anyway, but I also think all it's going to do is give teh american people a false sense of well being....hard to explain.

I'll tell you what....if getting an extra couple of bucks a week makes people feel good then these people are mental! All this goofy Law is doing is handing out more of our money to unemployment and pork projects. Sure some first time Home Owners will get some help and other items but like people have said....what about the average law abiding responsible people? We are hanging on with HUGE Healthcare issues, rising costs of Energy and Mortgages. Where do we fit in? What an incentive to stimulate. Well, to be fair I am acting like the gubment I won't read the latest law but I'll be an expert.

Heard a spot on t.v. tonight that talked about giving homeowners a year off of payments. How sweet that would be. I can say that I would do very little to Stimulate the economy. My money would be in the bank and or invested.

HHmmm not sure how to take that half White statement? Regardless of how it was mean't I could care less what color he is. I'm concerned with the color Green and thats the stuff that keeps food on our table and clothes on our backs. He and his goofballs will spend TRILLIONS but as long as you get your refund I guess all is ok. Wonder how much he just threw on our backs with this great socialistic act??

If the Goverment would just suspend any benefits to illegal immigrants immediately, we would save billions a year, I just dont understand why people in Washington cannot understand what Illegal means! It just *****, and we as people are going to have to do something about it, or its just going to get worse. I say we get about 25 or 30 million hard working, tax paying americans, take over parts of Mexico, build the infrastructure, put a 10,000 volt fence around the community, make sure there are plenty of huge lakes with huge bass, and just start over with our own laws, and goverment. Of course I am joking, but wouldnt it be nice to just start over somewhere.

Don yes Ky has replaced several hundred thousands maybe millions in food benifits due to the ice storm, the official totals are not in but I doubt that we will see them, I made a general figure but am not off by much.

well i will put back in a little for you all to get back..got a bill from the ky treasurer today..i owe them 78.17 from 2005..first bill i have been sent and i have to pay interest for the 4 years it took them to figure i owed it..and i have got a refund every year since..
