What is really scary, is that the part of the Declaration of Independece that Dave quoated is most approphos today. Our legislators, our President(s) and worst of all OUR COURTS are taking this country in a direction that is completely opposit of what common sense tells us the law(s) should be and what the founders intended.
I didn't explain it in my post above about Beck, et al, but what the pundits were talking about was the people revolting against a government that continually sides with and agrees with the crimminals, the illegals, the idiots, and the mal-contents OVER THE REGULAR TAX PAYING CITIZEN.
The Bubba factor kicks in when the ordinary people get tired of the laws and the courts putting policemen in jail for arresting drug smugglers; puitting home owners in jail because they shot a burgler; confiscating a ranchers property because he "arrests" illegals coming accross the border on his land; making McDonalds pay millions to a dumb women that puts hot coffee between her legs and spills it while she is driving, and on and on and on.
If you really want to get scared about this, read "The Death of Common Sense -- How Law is Sufficating America" by Phillip K. Howard. He cites so many case of laws turned against common sense people that it will make you sick.
Grumpy
Grumpy, I caught that Beck episode as well. Tonight the two guys that were discussing the "bubba militias" should be back on.
While watching it, I got the feeling that Beck was shocked when the two ex-military AGREED with the militias. One of them said something along the lines of, "The second amendment fundamentaly is NOT about hunting and sporting and all about protection from tyranny." The same man went on to talk about tyranny, and sort of called our current situation, "tyranny of ignorance." Makes PERFECT sense to me.
I so hope this doesnt happen. It looks as if its not a bad idea for me to continue investing in weapons and ammo and maybe even other valuables such as gold and silver.
