The latest is I`M ALIVE and hitting on all cylinders so boys look out!. I just got home today and been in for 8 days. I collaped a lung while on the table and took longer to get it fixed and rebuilt. Doc told me that I have nomore spare parts for this old engine but will still run strong for another 15 yrs IF I get rid of the cigs, so I`ve thrown down the cigs bought stock in a peppermint company.

I want to thank all of you for thinking of me, getting teared up over people taking the time to think about this ole toothless country boy. I`ve got 6 week rehab, doc said no fishing for 3 months,,,,,well you know that will really happen,,,I got Dale Hollow the last of april,,,he can just come down and bitch at me.

Thank you all so VERY VERY much,,, I can feel the love!

You just stay home and take your doctor's advice. Don't want to hear you fishing way too soon, take it from somebody that ALWAYS listened to his doctor's and wife and NEVER fished too soon. (HA HA HA) Don't worry about them Smallies at Dale the last of April, I will make the sacrifice and go down there and catch them for you. Take plenty of pictures, call you on the phone and let you hear the hand to hand combat and maybe even a moving picture or two just for you. Stay in, avoid the suntan, listen to the doctor and get better, we will all do our part in catching the fish that you would have caught. I know it is a tough job but somebody has to do it. Glad to see you are better. GREAT time for you to take me to the river, I will launch, park the truck, get you in off the dock, you point me where to go, tell me what to tie on, show me where to cast, I will catch them all and net them by myself all day long and you and Peppermint Pattie can sit back, collect some rays and WISH YOU WERE FISHING. Good to hear you are doing better Douglas. Do what them ole Docs say most of'em know that they are talking about. Them fish will be there when you get up and around. If you need anything just let us know brother.

Glad you are feeling better Doug, and hope you continue to get better every day, just remember to stay off those cigs, cause they will get you, I know it will be tough, but everytime you want one, remember the pain they have caused you. Bob
