Craigs creek ramp project started

On 2/16/09 the renovation of Craigs Creek boat ramp and parking area started.

Craigs Creek ramp renovation project consists of straightening the ramp, widening the ramp to 3 lanes (42') and increasing the parking lot by appx 2.5 times to 70 spaces. Currently trees are being cleared so the electric company can relocate power lines.

Temporary closing announcements will be made here or call the City of Warsaw for information. We suggest that during closings that you use the new ramp in Warsaw but please park on the upstream side of the ramp.

how long it the project going to take

We're hoping to have it completed by July 1, 2009. Then again we were hoping to have begun on this Oct 2008. Government red tape prohibited us to start until the last week of Feb 09.

The ramp is accessable at this writing.

we got a tourment there on aug 16 just checking keep me posted if thing were to change so i can let the club know if it was to be closed at that time thanks

UPDATE

Although I've relocated & retired (sorta) to central FL, I've been informed that the Craigs Creek boat ramp area is closed for launching. You can use the City of Warsaw ramp or Big Sugar Creek ramp at 42 & 127.

Lets hope that the project will get completed by duck season. Sources tell me that Ma nature hasn't cooperated causing delays.

I will continue to update as I obtain the information. The Craigs Creek Boat Ramp Is Still Closed.

All concrete work is complete. There was a 24'x40' section that was set in place at the waters edge. This is the actual ramp. Paving and striping of the parking lot has yet to be done.

The City of Warsaw single ramp is open with ample parking. There has also been an additional 30' section of dock installed to the existing structure making it easier for multiple boats to launch and load.
