are u sure it wasnt everyone wanting there money back from trading boats....
People probably trying to get the titles to their boats that they never received.......ask my father-in-law about that one........
Can't do business that way. Old saying goes, "you reap what you sow." Have heard he's looking at some time in jail.
Have talked to a few that went. Place was packed with dealers looking to pick up bulk parts/props/ odds and ends cheap. No real good deals for people like us, most of the tackle that was left was stuff that had been picked over to death.
What happened to Plapps? I remember reading this board when he was treated almost like a King... It was long ago, before I joined.
Can someoe fill us people in that don't know what happened at plapps that has people so angry? just curious.....

Seems they were taking in all kinds of stuff on consigment and not paying the seller once the boat sold - several stories similar to this. They also seemed to have a problem taking boats in on trade, and not paying of the balance of the traded boat (people would be hit with paments for new boat and traded boat). Hopefully the courts will straighten out the mess and make it right for everyone. I think they just dug themselves a financial hole they couldn't get out of, and unfortunately, many of their customers became the victim.
