Well I have heard that the ole creek has finally thawed out. I am planning on going there tues morning thought I might try Hybrid fishing. Normally I go when it is a lot warmer so I thought maybe you guys might have a suggestion or two, or maybe I am wasting my time. Typically I fish top water in the morining looking for jumps and the maybe trolling shiners at 20 feet or so as the sun comes up. I am open to any suggestions you guys might have for the cold weather hybrid bite.

Have any luck??? Chuck
No luck on my travels to Guist Creek. Had lots of motor problems, spent more time crankin than fishin. Typical first trip of the year. Did get some trolling in along the creek channel by the dam, and we trolled some points around some drop offs, but nothing was interested. Ended day by trolling back to the dock because engine would not start back up. Guess I have some work to do before April comes.
Did you see any signs of elnuts trying to beat up an old man? two words... FLYING J FLYING J FLYING J.. is that 2 words or one and a letter? Don't matter = elnuts, champion of the world!
You fogot "Down goes Frazier, Down goes Frazier", trying to stay away for the J for it brings out the worst in me. For that matter so does Guist Creek
come on whip it out.. " I'm a bad man"!!!!!Hey woody, don't feel bad. the last time I fished guist they had 37 boats there for a tourney. I held a seance, lit 100 candles, sacrificed a virgin crankbait, bit the head off a minnow, burnt Rick Clunns book and still didn't get a bite. I've been there 2 times, it will be my last too.
I am fairly new to this area and no expert at guist creek . But only fished it last year a few times and had good luck there .
