Best time to go to Guntersville...

while i got some time off i would like to go to guntersville and catch some big ole greenfish... i havent been on the lake but drove by it tons of times goin to my paps in muscle shoals ala.. but when is the best time to go and on what part of the lake..... i have been watching the classic and i got bass fever now and i have to get in some warm air with green on the trees and hear tree frogs at night... or i just might go up the wall...... lol

The Flw had a tourney down there last weekend .looked like there was a lot of good fish caught right now might be a good time.we usually go the last of march & the first of april every year.i'd fish the middle area of the lake around the islands & grass.traps,spinnerbaits,shallow running crankbaits,lizards & senko's.

Ive always heard the best time is around september and october...apparently the frog bite is unreal
