I bought a new Quantum array last year from all places Plapps.
Fished it all last season. Cleaned it lubed it. I was restringing it today, and noticed the reel clicks, or ticks when reeling in, I tore it apart and worked on it for 2 hours, and still it ticks, or a thumping sound. I think the gear off of the handle might be slightley bent do not know, and cannot take it back to plapps

I agree call them, seems they should make it right????
I tried them several years ago due to recomendations from a friend who got a good discount. Waste of money. Shimano or Okuma.
If its quantum, throw it away, they are mostly junk.Get a diawa or shamano. I have a wide spool diaawa that is almost 15 yrs old, and all of it works just fine, even the quick fire. But I'll be damned if I shell out 250.00 bucks for any spinning reel. A 60 buck one works just fine for me.
