    Re: Nolin walleye

They indeed do and there is usually a good run up the Nolin river. I have fished them several times and only caught a few so I can't offer up a lot of good advice. I knew some guys years back who would put in a small boat at Bacon creek and float down (I am not sure where they pulled out) and fishing small crank baits and jigs and would catch some. The run usually starts about this time of the year and goes up into April or so. There is a bridge above Bacon creek at a place called Broad Ford where many bank fish for walleye and whites. I did that a few times but only caught 1 walleye. I did catch some crappie and whites on down below Broad Ford a ways on foot one time...

    Re: Nolin walleye

I have been trying to find a good palce for walleye for years and Nolin is one of the places I keep trying. Some folks do claim that walleye can be caught in the river above Bacon Creek but I have fished it pretty hard for the last several years and caught none.I hear of one or two being caught once in a while but that is it. Are there walleye in Nolin, certainly, catchng them is whole other story. A friend on mine as been 7 times so far this year wlaking the river above bacon creek and has caught one! He also said that the bank is difficult to walk now due to the trees that fallen down. He lives there and fishes all the time. He said summer at night on the points by wax with crawlers is best. The river is full of Whites, I catch a LOT of them between now and June. Good luck, I have been on a quest for walleye for a few years now and haven't hooked one yet!

Walleye can be caught at the tail waters. But I would not use a fiberglass boat! You can fish off of the bank there.
