Sounds fun. I'm young and poor but seem to have been taught to shoot well so, I would rather bring food and beer and put the cash in my gas tank. Currently located in Louisville so naturally the closer to here the better for me.

Bernheim is a five minute drive for me, but on weeknds it is $5 per car and there is no drinking allowed. Not that we want tis to be a drunken festival, but a few buddy's sharing a beer should not be out of the question.

I have 2 of these a year dating back to 2000. One in the Spring and one in the fall...It's on the Ky River bascially. Alway post it on here, but there's no BIG TOURNAMENT...big tournament...big tournament...so I guess even the folks that surf here that are in my area never show.
We float the creek and fish the river. Camp out, cook, and pick music and big campfire that'll burn from the time we get there until we leave. In the fall we do the same thing excpet for the Saturday we tailgate all day and watch the College football games.
Pretty simple format. Every man for himself. Behave or hit the road.

When you start trying to plan for the group, it never works out. Been there done that. I see Dave has also.

Any of you girls want to come up be my guest. I'll be posting details later on.This yr's Spring campout may not happen, but the fall Bass/Football/Bash will...

    Billy,
I know I had fun at the last one even though I was only there for a few hours. Watching the games, playing Corn Toss and eating the awesome food was great! A good time for sure.
We were playing our last Corn Toss games in the dark using flashlights!

    Re: Fishin.com get-together???

I have only been on the board here for the past year so I did not attend any or the previous get together. It seems to me that having someone stepup and take ownership of the planning that goes into an event like this is the thing that is holding it back from happening. Is there any interest in everyone meeting at an outdoor festival that is already planned or at an event like the KY State Fair? Although the costs would be higher to meet at something like the state fair it would eliminate any effort in organizing food and beverages. We could pick a day or evening and meet at one of the beer tents. Just a thought. I know there are festivals and other outdoor get togethers all around the state ,but nothing else comes to mind. If anyone knows of something post it and let's toss it around. I do agree that the boats should be left at home if we do decide on something. With that said, get ready boys it's going to be 70 degress this weekend!!!!!
