Any advice as to where I can find a good map online? Is the fee $10 or $14 for the fishing permit?
Hye Col, try this link it will answer some of your questions: http://www.knox.army.mil/fw/
As far as trout on base, the section of Otter Creek around camp Carlson is where the stockings take place, I believe they stock once a week, but it has been several years since I fished there so I could be wrong.
Thanks Tim, maybe I'll see you there. I suppose I will just have to figure those little buggers out myself, which suits me fine, as I have been cooped up tying all winter, as you are all to aware of. I like to think my patterns have improved dramatically since the last time I got so obsessed (I was 13). I can't wait, maybe I'll actually catch something! No more satisfying feeling than seeing a fish rise to a fly you constructed from an animal(s) you harvested, except maybe eating said fish, mmmmm.
