I'm a visiting out-of-towner and I'm planning to give Green River lake a try next weekend; I've fished it 3 times in the past but never this time of year. I've got a boat and gear for LM & SM; any advise on what locations and lures might work would be helpful. I'll also mention that I'll be closer to Cumberland than Green River and wondered about your thoughts about even going to Green River versus Cumberland or Dale Hollow for that matter as I'll be about 50 minutes from there. Can't wait to hear from you. THANKS.

cumberland is the only way to go this time of year....greens a big mudhole and your chances of catchin fish are a lot better at Cland....good luck to ya
Thanks for the feedback on Green River; I'll cross the mud hole off my list this time around.
there are fish all over. seriously 10 more days for me and ill be on my 13th year in a row. there's 8 of us and we fish from one end to the other. usually ending up with 200 smallies for the week (all of us). my dad and i fish togeather last year he had big fish 6lbs 22 1/2". this year were there for 10 days.
green river muddy from snake creek to dam, lake cumberland around j-town water stained, dale hollow has the clearest water.
