If your looking for a good baitcaster you cant beat the Calais DC as far as Shimano goes backlash proof. As far as spinning reels go the Stella FD is also a bad mama jamma if your looking for new reels I'd go with one of the two.

The 100D is a little better pitching reel for light lures then is the E7 but the E7 has the High Effeciency Gearing.

The 7:1 ratio is nice for somethings but not all.

the new e7 curado is great for almost everything but maybe cranking, but it is hard to beat the new sahara for the money.
