Just seen where Hillary and Barack HUSSEIN Obama want to give the PALESTIANS 900 million dollars to rebuild after the bombings of Israel.

OMG, please one of you smart liberals tell why the hell we would do that right now given our present state. Better yet don't try cause there is nothing you can possible say that could warrant such a move right now. Freaking Democrats have all lost their ever loving minds if they ever had one, I'm mad enough to kick a beagle pup. The answer is simple. The Palestinians do not "love" us. Therefore, we will give them money and make them love us.

Saddest thing about this is that we will spend all that money to rebuild what Israel will knock down again the next time those idiots throw rockets into Israel....makes about as much sense as Bush running us into bankruptcy spending money to rebuild Iraq. Well, I certainly would not consider myself one of Obama’s biggest fans, but I’ll take a stab at it.

Couple things to consider. First off, the whole Israel/Palestine thing is complex. Probably more so than any of us here have a clue about. Israel was set up after WW2. I don’t think many of the locals in the area had a choice in the matter. Palestinians have never had their own state, but want one. The US has generally supported Israel in many disagreements in the region, dissing a number of other countries in the process. Part of the reason that al Quida and other terrorist organizations hate the US is because of these policies. Given this background, my “guess” is that the rebuilding represents an olive branch to the Palestinians. Sort of, we don’t hate you, let’s be friends and getting away from the cowboy attitude of the previous administration in these matters. Beating them with a stick has not changed attitudes, let’s try something different.

One of the biggest problems with this idea is that Hamas (a terrorist organization) is currently the democratically elected head of the Palestinians. Funding that has gone to them in the past has not been used entirely (may be not at all) for humanitarian aid for those who need it. It has been used to buy additional arms for Hamas. Any aid that goes cannot be in the direct form of money and has to go, somehow, directly to the people. Basically in the hopes of winning hearts and minds.

This being said, I’m not sure that I can support such an effort. I still have vivid memories of videos showing Palestinians basically dancing in the streets as the towers came down on 9-11. At that moment, I stopped giving a rat’s arse about them. In addition, Hamas is known for indiscriminately firing rockets almost daily at Israel. IF any funding is set aside to aid the Palestinians, I want assurance that such aid will NOT in any way shape or form be used by Hamas. If ANY funds are seized by Hamas, then several million $$ in additional funds needs to be sent over in the form of several cruise missiles straight down the throats of the Hamas leadership and all other funding cut off.

Well, that’s one liberal’s point of view.

How about we just use some of that American inginuity and come up with a viable alternative fuel source. That way no other America has to die fighting for oil and we don't have to care what happens in the ME.
