I saw David one day on Nolin. He came in across from where I was fishing stoped the boat droped the tm and started fishing one stump for about 15 min or so and pulled out a nice bass let it go and left.
They know where to fish and how to fish it.

Its funny I have seen them fishing some of the same spots I fish, and I have never caught em like they do, but like you said, 30 years experience on the water is a big plus. I have heard during the week, one is on Rough, and the other is on Nolin, and then they get together for the tournament, and smoke everyone. There is nothing that beats time on the water. Hard to dislike them whopping up on you, because they are such nice men.

No doubt about it. I think they proved that when they weighed in 25lbs one week and a few weeks later they weighed in 29 and some change last year..
Thats why i liked fishing tournaments they are in,even if you don't win but beat them is something.Still can't see why anyone would fish a tournament that makes the lake off limits for a week.my thoughts.Terry Adolph![]()
I think the new Nitro R&W marine circuit has that rule. Doesn't make a lot of since. This isn't the Elite Series.
Dont take this wrong guys, but.......
I'm glad you guys are talking Greek to my ear.
Have a buddy who used to do tourney's and to me it sounded sketchy at best.
Think the world of you guys and learn from you, but, I'll stick to fishing for food and for family time.
Best of luck in your pursuits.
Have a great weekend, Tommy.![]()
Heck even the elite prefish all but the day before and that day is for paring up and safety talk.I knew which tournament it was and if they draw boats its because guys didn't read rule 23.So thats my heads up for the season and they need too drop that rule asap or go down with the ship.![]()
just because someone has more time to prefish (find biting fish and the best spots to hit during an upcoming tournament) doesn't mean they are a better fishermen. Some may feel that showing up to a body of water without recent prior knowledge somewhat evens the playing field. I always liked off limits rules in a club myself, but have certainly fished a bunch of tourneys with no offlimits period where 3 days fishing leading up to the day of the tourney gave me a good advantage over some of the others. I'm talking Barkley, No matter how many days I spend prefishing Nolin, I can't seem to get much more than 11 lbs, where David and Gary would have 17 or more. my 2 cents
This time of year the lakes are changing so much that prefishing don't help just ask everyone who did it this week.
