    I miss Fish Fishburne

I miss Fish Fishburne on the BASS tournament trail. Fish made the weigh-ins a lot more enjoyable for me then these new guys. He had a better connection with viewers as a whole. This is one of the pioneers of our sport of bass fishing. I just wish ESPN would sign him to a new deal and bring him back to the stage. Just another example of corporate business.

I also enjoyed Fishburne. The other gentleman on stage is Trip Weldon -- a big name in BASS. He has been the head tournament official for a long time. He is always on the stage to verify the weights, handle fish, and also makes rulings on the water. I forget what the announcer's name is, but he does a pretty good job in his defense. Maybe Fishburne and ESPN couldn't agree to a contract negotiation or something, so they brought this man in. I do know Trip Weldon has and will be an important part of BASS for years to come.

Trip to over when Dewey Kendrick stepped down and the anglers seem to like Trip a lot better than Dewey.

I am not sure what happen with BASS and Fish, but I do know he would always make a few of the anglers mad when he would get them on stage at the weigh-ins.

I think fish is doing the bass champ series now.I watched an interview with him about two years ago and he said that he didnt know why they let him go.No explaination why.I agree he is better than this new guy.Maybe they are trying to be like nascar and get mc's that will attract younger crowds. If that is the way they are going they are forgetting the backbone of the sport like nascar did. just my two cents.

Fish Fishburne is cool. I miss my Redington reel he signed for me much more than I "miss him" but then again I don't fish tourneys or watch fishing. He was probably the nicest famous person I met in person though. Anyway I can't wait to get on the water tomorrow, if these Hellgramites don't work i'll be officially baffeled any extremely dismayed. Certainly not as dismayed as the first day of that three day canoe trip when the Big South Fork ate my reel and SA rod. Sure do miss that thing, maybe i'll get that combo BassPro had hidden on the last page of combos.

Fish was good but Keith Alan (i htink) does a good job. Didn't Fish get fired right after BASS was sold to ESPN?
