I haven't been in a couple of years but back when I was in school at MSU me and my roommate went there a few times and no luck. I would go to Caverun and try there. We had alot more luck there anyway.

Looking for some good info. It's a tricky lake with no vegitation to speak of. What to fish with and where on the lake?

I've fished Grayson with an uncle who lives 30 minutes from the lake. I had real success on a Rat-L-Trap in chrome with a blue back. Next thing I used was a blue & Black Jig with a paca chunk attached as a trailer. As you put in at the State ramp, go up the lake till you make a big right hand turn. There is a cove off the on the left side and a creek channel flows right down the middle iof it. Right now the bass should be holding on the edges of the channel or close to the secondary points. Throw a floating stick bait close to the bank and work out on both sides, then repeat with a jig. Next go on up the lake and then try the 1st hugh cove that goes back tot he right. there is some standing timber in it and try around that area.
Good Luck
i fished it saturday and did not have a bite. the only thing u could throw was a spinnerbait and crankbait due to the wind. water temp was 44 at the main boat dock when we launched. talked to three other boats with two blanking and one guy catching 2small ones.
