trying crappie on barren

I would like to try for some crappie at barren tommorrow but i don't know a thing about it other than catching a few in a pond that about it. I think I will walk in somewhere and try from the bank and any help would be appreciated, baits ,colors, were a fellow may hook up.

I just spoke with a friend that crappie fished at Barren yesterday. Did good from the bank, had 36 between 3 guys.

that sounds good, they didn't happen to say anything about what they were doing did they? You know I was thinking this afternoon and i remember 30 years ago people would catch them at the 252 bridge at Beaver by the buckets full this time of the year.
