According to my World Book Dictionary Published 1985 ( Yeh it's old and so am I )

Civil rights: The rights of a citizen, especially those quaranteed to all citizens of the United States,regardless of race,color,or sex by the Bill of Rights,the 13th, 14th, 15th, 19th, 24th, and 26th ammendments to the Constitution.

The dictionary service on AOL provides the following meaning:

So someone has changed the term from citizen to inhabitant.

Its a shame they want to hang this man for doing his job, and doing it well. He is enforcing the laws put in place by these idiots. If people dont wake up soon, its going to be to late, and we will be overun with illegal immigrants, they are already putting a strain on our economy, and it will only get worse. I just dont understand why nobody wants to see the handwriting on the wall and do something about it.

I have no problem detaining illegals, deporting them, jailing those who broke the law and then deporting them. May be I am missunderstanding some of the other comments. Seems that some beleive that if someone is an illegal alien, then they can be misstreated with no recourse. Am I reading that wrong?

Honestly they have more rights at this time than citizens and our citizens are discrimated against while they are allowed to get benifits that if they were legal citizens they could not get. IE, if an couple comes in and they are born, bred, legal US citizens and they make over 1900 mth, which is the income limit for a hh of 3, they are denied food benifits/stamps, if an illegal family same size same income, they will receive that maxium amt of food stamps that one citizen would receive,, this is for the US born child, ancor baby, 200 mth food stamps. Why they divide the income by 3 and only a portion is counted. Fair I say not, it is a crime against legal citizens and discrimation. Just some food for thought so that all you tax payer know how your money is spent.

Like I said before about all our money being spent over seas for Hamas, Gaza Strip and whatever! Spend the millions/billions here and build a state of the art fence and hire more Immigration officials (more jobs in both cases). Heck man dig a 50ft ditch I don't care just stop the bleeding!

That's just it. How do you stop them from crossing. They are a lot more resourceful than you think and no matter what you put up, dig........ they will find a way.

What is mistreatment? Detainment for crossing the border illegally? I don't believe most on this board want to continue to house, feed, and clothe illegals. I don't believe most on this board condone mistreatment of ANY human being. But the definition of mistreatment has many meanings. I for one do not believe an illegal alien has any constitutional rights inside the US border. The only right they may have is to "go RIGHT back where they came from.

We don't have a Politician worth his salt that will ever stand up and do something about this, from any party! The politicians are self serving liars every last one of them.
Joe has been under attack for years and when he was asked during an interview if he would go into politics (years ago) he laughed and said no way. He is smart!
