    Re: Screaming baitcaster

Hot Sauce is the best stuff on the market! I clean and lube my reels once every season -- right before they go into storage so that they're ready to go when the new season begins. Taking apart reels is so easy....just remember how they go back together! I had some old curados that I did this to every year and they casted like they were brand new, fresh out of the box. Anyone who doesn't clean their high-priced reels every so often will be replacing parts or buying new reels all together. It's kinda like changing the oil in your car......

Probably just need to give them a good cleaning, oil and lube. My abus get like that after I've abused them for a while. Strip them down, clean them out, oil parts that need oil, lube parts that need lube, reassemble and they're good to go.
