well i went down to the falls yesterday for a few hours and noticed there were about fifteen people fishing in the mouth of colgate creek and they were catching sauger but every one of them were smaller than usual. but , at the same time it wasnt slowing any of them down from keeping all of them. in the long run what are some opinions on what is going to happen to the population of sauger? a few states have already banned sauger fishig due to over harvest and all they catch now are little cigars that equal nothing more than a fish stick. is the Ohio River headed in that direction or will it be regulated before it gets that bad?? I for one hope we dont get to that point but ya never know. I guess it would take IN,OH,KY,WV Biologist to determine the long term affect this will have on the sauger but than again there may be a stronger population than i think.
