1986 merc outboard question

I have a 1986 115hp straight six out board. The motor will start fine the first start of the day until you stop to fish. After about twenty minutes it takes forever for it to start. If you crank the motor every 10 minutes it is fine all day long. Any advice?

Does the fuel bulb stay hard? Sounds like your losing fuel pressure and your pump needs rebuilt.

I replaced it last year but I got to looking at it yesterday and started to wonder if that might be my problem. Thanks.
