    Fire Bad Loss Billy NOW!!!!!

4th seed is acceptable, in the NCAA, not the NIT. NIT is the tourney we are in and also the name of our coach "NIT". Are you kidding me?? 2 of the best players in the country, top five shot blocking team in the country, one of the best free throw shooting teams in the country and we can't find a guy to get the ball past half court. Everybody can say what they want, Liggins is Billy's boy not Tubby's boy. Ten Loss Tubby is looking pretty good right now, bet Billy would be willing to switch places with Tubby in a hearbeat, at least Tubby's team is Dancing in the Big Dance and not two stepping at the Junior High School Prom. No Class, No Diginity, Public humiliation of his players in the media, lets them refuse to enter the game (then plays them 27 minutes the next), lets them walk out and quit then come back to the team. Starts a guy at point that has 87 assist and 76 turnovers, and his backup has 89 assist and 73 turnovers. Funny how Tubby can go to Minnesota and take a team that went 10-21 the year before he arrives, and 2 years later they are dancing the big dance and was in a conference that put 7 teams in the big dance. 2 years, with other coaches players, the other coach that got fired and Billy G shows up here in the same time and can't even make the big dance in a conference that only put 3 in the NCAA and it would have only been 2 if Miss St does not pull the upset. Pathetic, in that 10 loss Tubby can take a much worse team in a much better conference and go dancing but Billy G takes a team with 2 All Sec performers in a pathetic league and gets the NIT award. Fire him now!!!!!!!!!!

did liggins play enough to be labeled as billys boy and not tubbys? if you want to blame a player blame one that had the minutes to get that blame, and does he even deserve to be blamed? maybe we should blame jasper for hitting the road to cure his homesickness. theres plenty of blame to go around but only one deserving of it. i apologize to any billy backers but i think this team should have been better than what they played and that starts with coaching. maybe if miller was allowed more minutes at point early on he would have been ready at the start of conference play and not the last few games tourney included. oh well, i think next year will be better but only if meeks and patterson stick around, but if they dont then we might appreciate the NIT if we are lucky enough to get a bid.

I'm gonna make a prediction. BCG fails to produce again next year and is let go. Travis Ford will be hired as head coach and within two years has Ky back on the National landscape again.

I'll go out on a limb and say this...With the shape UK basketball has gotten into since Ricky Pitino left. He feels sorry for the Cats and after they fire BCG, he makes bold leap back into the Lexington fold and becomes UK's coach again. Leaving U of L for his much beloved Bluegrass home away from home......lol

Naw Mills, Pitino is going to be the new head coach at Arizona. His wife was recently spotted house shopping in Tuscon and it is a done deal but Pitino and the Arizona AD are keeping this under wraps until the NCAA Tourney is over. Well, at least that is what some Arizona fans said on their message boards lol!

Billy G was an after thought to most people when the "A list" of coaches they wanted here was written. Wonder why they couldn't get any of those coaches? I think it's because the job is one of the hardest coaching jobs in the country and noone wants to go through the brow beating that coaches get here. The fans are impatient and at times down right wrong in how they treat the coach and team.

If they fire Billy G too quickly without giving him (3-5 years?) then who in their right mind would show?

Ok, I am going to make a guess that if UK does NOT go after that "slick haired dude" that used to coach Florida (and is now an announcer) they are MORONS!!! I agree with getting rid of BCG, no doubt, the guy can recruit very well, but can't coach a lick. He has relied on his recruits to carry him to decent records against subpar teams in the past (all five years of it) but they can't do that in the SEC so he's hosed.
I TOTALLY AGREE with the comment on Miller!! He should have been running the point, with the prep time given the first half of the year, the entire 2nd half of the season. That kid has skills!!
As for Patterson coming back, he has no choice. He looked worse this year than last, and putting on the display of having 9 of his shots blocked in ONE GAME, the pro's will tell him to stay. Meeks could go, but he is a serious student (yeah, classroom student), besides I do not think he wants his legacy to be taking the team to a 4 seed in the NIT. He WILL be a pro either way, be it this year of next, so I believe if UK gets some "hope" in there, he stays for his senior year (more to get his education than improve is draft status though). Again, just my two cents, but I hope I am right.

The NBA mock drafts I have seen have Meeks going late in the second round, so really he has to come back. If you are picked in the second round you are not promised a contract and a lot of second round picks end up playing overseas. If he comes back and can play his way into a first round pick he gets a guaranteed three year deal.

We will eventually end up with Dayton's coach. Ricky P aint going anywhere...Why would we want Donavan??? I can see Ford a better candidate for the job.

Re: Fire Bad Loss Billy NOW!!!!!

Who in the world said Billy G could recruit. AC Law was NOT his recuit at A&M, Meeks is not his recruit, Liggins is HIS recruit as is the rest of these walk ons Juco transfers are HIS players. You can't tell me that the TEAM that Tubby left was worse than the TEAM that he inherited at Minnesota. Tubby has had the EXACT same time as Billy G and started with so much worse but yet the Gophers are Dancing and we are prancing. Billy G is not what the powers that be Todd and Barnhardt thought they would get when Tubby was run out of town. They though the other Billy would crawl from Florida to coach here for free, but that did not happen so they get this piece of garbage. Can't recruit, can't coach, no class, no dignity, clearly says he is not the face of the basketball program, clearly publicly humiliates his players, clearly has no discipline in himself or his players, what else do we need to get rid of this so called "coach". Never thought I would ever see the day that not only did we not make the NCAA, but we are the lowest seed of any SEC team in the NIT and SC gets beat tonight in the NIT, TN and LSU will be in dogfights in round 1 of the NCAA, Miss St will be done after game one that is how bad the SEC is and we can't win either the tourney or regular season. Pathetic, absolutely Pathetic. Bad Loss Billy has to go and go just as soon as this season is over, which will probably be after tonight when we will most likely have to travel to Creighton
