Typical outcome for me most of the time. I have done well there before many times but I usually can't catch crap there. It needs another tournament on it to beat it up somemore and it could use a little more pressure from all around.

Haven't been out this year yet, but was palnning to go out middle of nest week. Last spring (early april, late march?) I put in at Van Buren ramp, water was still murky from the river in that area. Went into one of the creeks with timber standing (not far in, water around 25-30 ft.). Used a white lead head feather jig with that stinky yellow crappie bait on the hook. Jiged this up and down right against standing trees. Cought a ton! However, most were in the 7 inch range, Three keepers at 15+/- (threw them all back). Missed another ton more. Bite was funny, hitting it on the way down, made it hard to set the hook (may have been pulling through lip). Anyway started jig at 10 ft went down to 15 and got the bite between 15+20.

Taylorsville=Dead Sea
The only thing I would have recommended is a different lake!![]()
Maybe the other boat you saw caught the only bass in that lake.
Thats odd ,I heard theyve been wacking them up there...................
Thats good... everyone go elsewhere that leaves me more fish to catch!!
Brad,
I was at Taylorsville today (Wednesday 18th). We caught 5 fish total with one 17" keeper. 3 caught on green tube jig and 2 on small shallow running crank baits. The fish we caught were 4 to 6 feet off the bank in 8 to 10 feet of water on rocky banks. I fished down the lake from the **** on a main lake bank facing the sun. All these fish came on one bank in a 100 yard span. They are there is you find them.
Hope that helps. Taylorsville can be hard at times but keep casting.
Stanley
