Barren?

Has anyone been to Barren lately for bass? Just wondering how the bite has been, going down this weekend. Thanks!

If the number of trailers in the parking lot for a Wednesday was any indication, the bite should be on. I fished about 2.5 hours, 0 keepers 2 slots. Water temp 56, light murky water. Looked good.

I wouldnt be suprised if most of the boats on the water werent crappie fisherman. Last week the crappie and bass were both biting very well in skaggs creek. This week the water is glass clear. I bank fished today in Skaggs, Beaver, and Peters Creek and the only think hitting was yellow bass and even they were occational. We need a good rain to get some color in the water and I think everything will start up again.

I fished monday and wendsday and did great both days. Had 1 over 5 on monday and 1 over 4 on wed. With mulitple keepers both days. Fished yesterday and couldnt buy a bite. The weather change has them all crazy right now.

Fish are in the back of creeks and the river on channel bends the run onto flats. It took us a hour to get to our holes if that tells you anything. Thanks for the info guys and good luck.

Was down saturday and found cmbowhunters report to be the case. Anywhere the channel swings to a flat there are fish staging. Only problem is, if the sun don't shine they don't want to play. Real fickle right now. Couple more weeks of stable weather and it will be on like a pot of neck bones.
