I went this afternoon primarily to break-in my rebuilt motor. Saw a lot of boats, looked like mostly crappie fishing. Ran from the state park to Van Buren. On the way back, stopped and fished at a few places but the winds were really picking up, and of course the warmest sunniest banks were the ones with the winds blowing on them. I fished for about an hour total and caught one keeper LM and one 13" crappie in the back of a cove in about a foot or two of water on a crankbait. Temps were in the mid-50's, and water was stained to muddy. For Taylorsville, that's not that bad...
