I went out today to run the boat for the first time and took some rods with me. Together the three of us caught 3 bluegill, a rock bass, 2 little largemouths and I caught a 14" crappie. We only fished a few hours and that was the first significant fish I had ever caught out of Taylorsville. May go back next weekend since it's close to home.
I'd love to see KYFW stock more Hybrid/White Bass and Blues to help further errata them shad. The green Bass are just to fat and happy. The casting net idea is a good one. Area farmers would love free fertilizer and possibly cat fisherman would love extra dead then frozen shad for cut bait all summer long.
