    You will be money ahead and learn more if you go out with a guide the first time. You can learn the what,when and where as well as what(hopefully) active fish look like on a graph.

    I agree the guide thing would be the way I would go personally. His accountant goes with a group of guys every year. They know the lake and they know how and where to do the fishing. We are invitees only and I wouldn't turn down a free fishing trip. Crappie is my fish but I'm sure I'll be hooked on stripers too. I also don't wanna show up unprepared. I'm told everything supplied except personal gear! Just need to know what gear you guys are using. JoeB I will definitely keep you in mind when I do (my trips).
