1st time striper fishing. Need help!

Man I'm setup strictly as a crappie man. I have a Amb. 5600 Rocket and a 7 foot medium/heavy ugly stick. Think I'll pickup one more combo like that. We'll going in May and i'm waiting on them to discuss what type fishing they do. These guys are seasoned and I'm the guest. I will be talking with them soon but just wanted some infoon what you other guys use before hand.

Your 5600/ugly stick combo will do fine for night fishing for them. 15# mono and you are good to go. There is another thread on striper fishing where we've been discussing striper methods for May. The rest of the info you need on gear and methods is in that one.
