will ask my lady friend about that, she said her father used to work at a saw mill in that area, and the family lived there before the lake was dammed. They used to swim in the river.
does anybody know where is the old brick furnace at i know it is at Moutardier camp grounds but what camp ground number a,b,c it is close to
yes there was,in conoloway...the old slab pile was good fishin for a long time but i don't think you'll find any remnants of it now.that was YEARS ago..i never saw it personally,no pun inteneded but dad grandad and uncle all remember it..
as you leave the ramp go to the right toward the creek follow just outside the no wake buoys you should find it..a few years back someone had put the buoy weight in the furnace..
it's about half mile from the ramp maybe, second point back.if you can't see it now i wouldn't idle around looking for it,may find it the hard way.i don't know where the water level is..
ty everbody for the info
the furnace is out of the water as of sunday but the lake is on the way up. i grew up around nolin and sunday was the first time i saw it. may have seen it before but never really paid attention.
