Anyone been to Green? Trying to find out water temp. and color. Thanks,
i will be down there next friday. the kids have spring break the following week so me and my son will be there all week and two weekends starting the 27th. will report then. my wifes uncle has ben there all week this week but have not had a chance to talk to him, when i do i will tell you how he did.
Just go back today. Water temp 49-52 depending on the parts of the lake. Water was pretty stained today. Caught a couple of crappie in the 15 ft zone on the main lake. Didn't get anything in the backs of creeks. Graphed alot of fish on main lake points 15 to20 ft deep in 30 feet of water at the mouths of creeks and bays. I guess their preparing for the spawn. good luck! any tips on crappie and bass at green please let me know. I never seem to have much luck.
most water was 48-50.....bass are on....took over 21lbs to win with a lot of sacks brought in over 12lbs....
went out this afternoon and had a pretty good day....had 2 pretty good smallmouth and finished the limit out with largemouth....both brownfish were in the 19 1/2 inch range
i caught a couple nice smallmouth myself this afternoon, and my buddie had a good size spotted bass up in the river yesterday.
Even those of us who are semi-retired from bass fishing caught bass this weekend! They're coming up and about to get right in my opinion!
I was on Green Sunday.
Water was 49 when we put in at Lone Valley, warmest we saw was in Robinson Creek area, and it was 54 (late afternoon, so the sun had warmed it some). Water was stained everywhere we went. We started near Holmes Bend and ended in Robinson Creek.
We didn't get many hits, but I did land a 5+ pound LM in the morning on a Bandit CB, and my buddy caught a small keeper LM on a ShadRap. We did catch 2 Muskies ... one was 35-40 inches, the other in the upper 20's, both on a #5 Shardap (the second, smaller one kept it when I tried to get the bait out of its mouth without putting it in the boat). One Muskie was in the back of Butler Creek, the other in an arm near/opposite Holmes Bend. The LM was in a cut near Ramp 1.
