    Where to go???

Fished a local lake here in Lexington yesterday from 2-7 and we caught 5 LM. Caught them on beavers, jigs and spinnerbaits. Most were in 4-6'.

Tomorrow (Tuesday) we're getting after it again. Conditions look ideal but we're considering a different body of water within an hour of Lexington. We're talking about fishing KY River but I'm not hearing many good reports for the river right now. We're also talking about Herrington or Cedar Creek. Any thoughts or reports? We're cutting out of work around noon and heading out.

    Thanks!

    Hey S -

The KY River in the Frankfort pool, anyway, is still muddy. Give it a couple days and the bite should be on.

    Might hit the creek myself

Well if i were you i would go to Dale hollow lake. Now i know its about 2 hours from you but man oh man is it worth it. The fish is on down there. I've heard amazing reports and i was there this past weekend and the water color and temperature is ideal. So thats where i would go but if you dont want to travel that far i would go to cedar creek lake in stanford ky. I've heard good reports of the bass biting on green tubes and jigs. So good luck and good fishing.

PS: Really though look into going to dale hollow even though its a couple hours away it is by far my favorite lake in ky and produce some of the biggest smallies in the country.

    So good luck

The creek has crossed my mind for sure, jcb. We need to hit that real soon... As for Dale Hollow, I'm fishing down there April 9-11 and can't wait! Keep those Dale reports coming. We'll need all the help we can get!
